Understanding RTT®
What exactly is RTT®? Here are some frequently asked questions about Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®) to help deepen your understanding of how it can facilitate your healing journey.

FAQs
How does RTT® help children and young adults?
Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®) works by identifying and reprogramming deep-seated subconscious beliefs that may be causing emotional distress, anxiety, or self-doubt. Unlike traditional talk therapy, RTT® helps children and young adults understand and shift negative thought patterns at the root level, leading to profound and lasting change. Much of the work with children involves mental rehearsals, visualization, and conversational transformation rather than direct hypnosis, making the process engaging and natural for younger minds.
Is RTT® safe for children?
Yes! RTT® is a gentle and child-friendly approach designed to work with the subconscious mind in a way that feels safe and natural. Sessions are structured to be age-appropriate, ensuring that children feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.
What if my child doesn’t want to talk about their feelings?
Not all children feel comfortable expressing emotions verbally, and that’s okay. RTT® doesn’t rely solely on conversation—it uses guided visualization, mental rehearsals, and subconscious exploration to help children process emotions in a way that feels natural and non-threatening.
Will I (the parent) be involved in the sessions?
Yes, to an extent. For our Family Support Program, sessions are split between parent guidance and child-focused RTT®/coaching. For other programs, parents will receive general updates, guidance, and tools to support their child’s progress, while session details remain confidential unless the child chooses to share.
How many sessions will my child need?
Each child is unique, and results vary. Some children experience significant breakthroughs in just one session, while others may benefit from a structured program spanning several months to reinforce long-term change. Our Foundations for Elevation Call helps determine the best approach for your child’s specific needs.
What is RTT®?
Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®), developed by world-renowned therapist Marisa Peer, combines the best of traditional psychotherapy techniques like Gestalt, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy, with hypnotherapy and mindfulness, to offer a powerful, evidence-based method for positive change.
RTT® is grounded in established psychological principles, offering a tailored approach to help clients transform deep-seated negative beliefs, habits, and emotions—often rooted in childhood and buried within the subconscious, impacting them unconsciously.
It is designed to directly access the subconscious mind to identify and understand the root causes of issues, providing individuals with the potential to change their thought patterns, end negative self-talk, and approach life positively, enabling transformative healing not just on a mental level, but on a physical and emotional one as well, allowing them to move forward.
Can I do RTT® while my child is also in traditional therapy?
Yes! RTT® is complementary to traditional therapy and can work alongside other therapeutic approaches. Many families find that RTT® helps their child make faster progress by addressing subconscious patterns that may not be accessible through traditional methods alone.
How Does It Work?
RTT® works by first guiding the individual into a relaxed state of hypnosis, where the mind is more open and receptive to change. In this state, the therapist and client work together to uncover the underlying reasons for the client’s issues, challenges, or blockages.
Through a combination of therapeutic techniques, RTT® employs the foremost scientific principles of neuroplasticity to facilitate the formation of new neural pathways in the mind. In other words, it helps to reframe negative beliefs and patterns at the subconscious level, leading to profound, lasting changes in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Sessions can uncover hidden beliefs and past experiences that shape how you view the world, allowing you to rewrite your story from one of limitation to one of empowerment.
What kind of results can I expect?
While every child’s journey is unique, common outcomes include:
- Greater emotional regulation and reduced anxiety.
- Increased self-confidence and self-worth.
- Improved focus and motivation in school or personal goals.
- Stronger communication and self-expression skills.
- A sense of calm, clarity, and resilience when facing challenges.
How is RTT® different from other therapies?
RTT® sets itself apart from traditional therapies through a unique combination of strategies and principles, aimed at facilitating deep, transformative healing.
- Focus on Root Causes: RTT® sets itself apart by focusing on uncovering the root cause of a client’s issues, rather than just addressing symptoms or challenges, enabling clients to understand and transform their core beliefs and behaviors for profound life shifts.
- Approach to Change: RTT® goes beyond positive reinforcement, aiming to identify and alter the origins of unhelpful beliefs and behaviors through the principles of neuroplasticity, creating new neural pathways in the brain.
- Speed of Results: Unlike traditional therapies that may take years to see results, RTT® is designed to deliver lasting change within a minimal number of sessions, leveraging targeted approaches for rapid transformation.
What if my child doesn’t show immediate changes?
Healing is a process, and transformation unfolds differently for everyone. Some children experience instant shifts, while for others, changes appear gradually over time as they reinforce new subconscious beliefs through their personalized transformation recording and coaching support.
What Should I Expect From a Session?
An RTT® session with Elevated Perspective typically lasts between 60 to 120 minutes, depending on the needs of the client. For children, much of the session focuses on mental rehearsals, visualization, and conversational transformation rather than traditional hypnosis. Throughout the process, your child will remain in control and fully aware. In each session, we’ll explore the specific issues your child is facing, uncovering the root causes and reframing subconscious beliefs, helping them develop healthier thought patterns and emotional resilience.
After the session, a personalized transformational recording will be provided to listen to for the next 21 days, reinforcing the positive changes and new beliefs formed during your session.
Sessions are deeply personal and conducted in a safe, supportive virtual environment, ensuring comfort and confidentiality from any location. It’s normal to feel a range of emotions as you uncover and release past blockages, but many find the process incredibly freeing and empowering, often describing a sense of lightness and clarity post-session.
Is RTT® a form of hypnosis?
Yes, RTT® uses a form of therapeutic hypnosis, which is simply a deeply relaxed state where the mind becomes more open to positive change. It’s similar to guided meditation and is completely safe. However, with children, much of the work focuses on mental rehearsal, guided visualization, and conversational transformation rather than deep hypnosis.
What if my child is resistant to the process?
It’s natural for some children to feel unsure at first. That’s why sessions are designed to be engaging, non-judgmental, and tailored to their comfort level. Parents can help by framing RTT® as a supportive tool for their child’s personal growth rather than something “to fix them.”
Do you have a current criminal record check?
Yes. As part of my commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals, I maintain a current and regularly updated criminal record check, including clearance to work with at-risk populations in Canada. Your child’s safety and well-being are my top priority. I will provide this information upon request. https://rcmp.ca/en/criminal-records/criminal-record-checks/vulnerable-sector-checks
